Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu
The town of Rameshwaram is heavily dependent on the deep sea fishing economy . There are around 650 registered fishing boats in this small town. They are so close to Sri Lanka, that they often accidentally venture into the Sri Lankan territorial waters.
